I saw Cass McCombs last night and it was one of the most intimate shows I have attended. The audience was not as chatty as usual and they seemed very respectful. It was also one of the darkest shows I’ve attended, it was so dark you couldn’t even see anyones face. I haven’t seen an opening act as unique as Frank Fairfield, he was all instruments and all voice nothing else. I probably won’t experience a show at this caliber for a while.
